Favours of family that pass on for 8 decades and beyond The Classic Taste of Family Comfort FoodThere is only one type of food that holds a unique place in our hearts, and is truly irreplaceable. Memories of family food traditions last a lifetime, and well beyond. These special moments remain within a family, and are as diverse in flavour and variety as one can imagine. If truth be told, 1000 people will have 1000 different definitions of family comfort food. Founded in 1938 by Mr. Chui Kam Yuen, Yick Cheong Ho began as a local grocery store. Adored by the Tai O community, the company later expanded its offering to include dried seafood and specialty sauces. The second generation of the Chui family business was succeeded by Mr. Chui Chun Wah and Mrs. Chui Chin Kam Yi. Over the course of several decades, their joint efforts resulted in the establishment of three retail locations, and a family-owned production base, ensuring product quality throughout the entire production to retail process. Ms. Joan Chui, their youngest daughter to succeed the family business, continues to uphold Yick Cheong Ho's uncompromising commitment to excellence. With the intention of passing on the heartful taste of the Chui family food tradition to future generations, Ms. Joan Chui continuously develops new products, including seafood, various dried delicacies and sauces that can turn an ordinary meal into a uniquely customised and flavourful dish for every family.
