SWIPE was established in Houston,Texas, USA in 1965 when it invented its first miracle cleaner. Initially SWIPE was marketed as a grease cutter for the NASA Mercury Space program. A director of SWIPE at that time realized that there was a need for the product as a household cleaner and so started the SWIPE Direct Selling program and named the product SWIPE. SWIPE was then brought into Asia including Hong Kong, Japan and Korea in 1971 and has become a popular household cleaning brand since then.
